We provide free stacking when the wood is placed next to our truck\trailer. If you need the wood carried a greater distance, a small stacking fee 5-10% may apply depending on how far it needs to be moved.

We aim to deliver to you as soon as possible. It's common to receive your load in 1-2 days however this can vary depending on the current volume of orders, the load size and suburb. During busy periods in winter there may be up to a week wait. We will keep in touch with you to confirm and lock in a delivery day\time and provide an accurate ETA on the day before leaving.

Our Jarrah is generally split into pieces approximately 25–35 cm long, making it suitable for most fireplaces and wood heaters.Each load includes a mixture of larger and smaller pieces. If you have a smaller fireplace or pizza oven, some pieces may need additional splitting.

No. We never ask for deposits or upfront payments. You only pay once your firewood has been delivered. Cash is preferred, and EFTPOS is available.

Yes. If you provide clear delivery instructions when placing your order, we can deliver while you're away. Payment can be arranged after you've received confirmation that your order has been delivered.

That’s a difficult question to answer, as everyone uses firewood in different ways and at different rates. Jarrah is great for extended burning periods to due it's high density. To conserve firewood, only burn as much as is necessary at a given time. If you’re using firewood in a slow combustion wood furnace, they tend to be pretty efficient, even in colder weather. If you have a roaring open fireplace or fire pit every night, your wood reserves will dwindle much faster. No. Rain may wet the outside of seasoned firewood, but it does not normally soak deeply into properly dried timber. Once exposed to sunshine and airflow, the surface dries quickly and the wood remains suitable for burning.

To safely and efficiently split firewood, prioritize a stable setup, proper technique, and full sized good quality sharp axe. Ensure a sturdy chopping block or stump, and it's recommended to wear safety glasses and gloves. When swinging, use a controlled motion with a wide stance, aiming along the grain and the edge of the wood to strike the crack. If the axe gets stuck, try flexing the wrist to release it, or use wedges to help split the wood.

Dry, seasoned firewood is wood that has been allowed to dry naturally, typically for 6-18 months, reducing its moisture content to below 20%. This drying process, also known as seasoning, is crucial for efficient burning, as lower moisture content means the wood will produce more heat and less smoke. Freshly cut wood contains a high percentage of water. Burning this "green" wood is inefficient because the fire expends energy to evaporate the water before the wood can combust, resulting in less heat and more smoke. We only sell firewood that is properly seasoned, dry all the way through and moisture tested to ensure it's always ready to burn. It's important to know and understand that rain doesn't negatively impact firewood that has already been dried\seasoned to low a moisture content. While rain can wet the surface, it doesn't penetrate deeply enough into the wood to affect burning. Seasoned wood that is wet on the surface will dry out very quickly especially when it’s exposed to air and sunlight.
